Today, I want to share an interview I recorded with the super talented Gavin O’Brien, who releases music as Citóg. That might sound like a strange name but it does have a meaning in the Irish language, which Gavin will explain to you.
But besides the meaning of his name, he’s got a lot more to say and he’s done a lot of interesting things.
He has done what a lot of people want to do and left a successful career in a big city to focus on his music career and creative path.
Not only has he been working full time as a musician from his own home studio for the past few years, but he has also released his debut album as Citóg while in lockdown and sheltering from Coronavirus.
So in this interview, you’ll learn about:
- Citóg’s background as a musician
- How he made the career move
- How he set up his own home studio and creative space
- The process of writing and releasing an album
- How collaboration helped him achieve his goals
- Setting a deadline and sticking to it
- What he learned about recording an album in a home studio
- How that relates all to you and much more!
And stick around until the end of the interview because he has a special gift for those of you with longer attention spans!
But seriously, Citóg is one of the most talented musicians I have ever had the privilege of meeting and working with. And he’s also one of the nicest humans you could meet.
So, let’s get to it check out the video!
Now, I’d love to know…
